  • Basic Setup: Determining appropriate equipment and space requirements.
  • Basic Health Concerns: Addressing issues such as dehydration, curled toes, and swollen necks.

This program aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the journey from egg to hatchling, enabling participants to gain a deeper understanding of the processes involved in raising newborn chicks.

Introduction to Soap Making 101: Creating a Quality Bar

Discover how to make soap using the cold processing technique. The teacher will explain the variances between cold and hot processing methods, showcasing the cold process with lye water concentrate. Metric units will be utilized to highlight the advantages of necessary oils and their connection to superfats. At the conclusion of the session, attendees will personalize their soap bars with color and fragrance, concluding with a conversation on soap-making tips.

Introduction to Soap Making 102: Creating a Quality Loaf

Participants in the workshop will have the chance to learn the cold processing technique for making soap. The instructor will explain the distinctions between cold and hot processing methods, and will demonstrate the cold process using lye water concentrate. The benefits of the required oils and their relationship to superfats will be discussed using metric measurements.

Furthermore, each attendee will mix their lye water concentrate with oil until it reaches a light trace. Afterward, participants will be able to customize their soap loaf by choosing a color and scent. Finally, there will be a discussion on the most effective soap-making practices.

Introduction to Soap Making 201: Creating a Masterpiece

During the workshop, participants will learn how to make soap with unique qualities like hardness, conditioning, and lather using the cold processing technique and a soap calculator. The instructor will demonstrate how to create a recipe that fits the mold, while revisiting important topics such as the benefits of oils, the importance of superfat, and lye concentration.

Together, attendees will work as a team to develop a soap recipe that achieves a light trace. They will have the opportunity to personalize their soap loaf by choosing their desired color and scent. Lastly, there will be a discussion on the most effective methods for soap-making.
